It has been a busy week of baking in my house. My daughter just had a birthday, so we had to make a cookie cake for her birthday. Then we made cupcakes for school. Finally we have been working on a castle cake for her actual party. Everything turned out o.k. I was in such a need of a break, that for cub scouts, I just made a box mix brownies and cake mix cookies. Everyone loved them just the same.
I am in need of a day off from baking, but it will have to wait until after this weekend. I can take a day off, but not any more than a day. At least it is something I truly love to do. LOL!

Princess Castle Cake
I made this for my daughter's birthday party. I am pretty new to decorating, so I had a few struggles, but I think it turned out o.k. The turrets are covered in purple candy melts and sanding sugar. The cake is buttercream frosting. She will love it, but we still have several hours until the party. Hope it makes it.

Birthday Cookie Cake
The party continues. My daughter had a cookie cake for her birthday, cupcakes for school, and another cake for her birthday party. There are always a lot of sweets at our house.
Birthday Cupcakes for my Daughter
These were the leftover cupcakes and I wanted to try to use the rose design on them. It was super easy and I thought they really looked good. Plus, it is a little less frosting than the other way I frost them.
Birthday Cupcakes for my Daughter
I mixed 3 colors together for my daughter's cupcakes. She love pink and purple and I thought white would be the perfect touch. She helped with the sprinkles.
